Schorer, Hilda (Marriage - 21 Sept. 1932)
A very pretty wedding took place Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 21, at the St. John’s Ev. church, Rev. G. F. Hahn reading the marriage ceremony, when Miss Hilda Schorer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Schorer, became the bride of Mr. Albert Genett, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Genett of Spencer. Miss Iva Genett, sister of the groom, acted as bridesmaid and Miss Nellie Schorer, the bride’s sister, was maid of honor. The groom was attended by Norman Schorer, a cousin of the bride, and Vilas Genett, the groom’s cousin.
The bride, the maid of honor and the bridesmaid were all attired in ankle length dresses of wine colored flat crepe with hats to match. The bride’s bouquet consisted of asters and dahlias and the maid of honor and the bridesmaid had bouquets of asters and daisies.
A wedding reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated in old rose and white with flowers for the occasion. In the evening, a free wedding dance was given at Reel’s pavilion which was largely attended by friends and relatives.
The newlyweds will make their home on the farm of the groom’s father at Spencer.
